Fresh bomb threat emails trigger high alert at courts across 18 districts in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow, Feb 16 (UNI) Panic gripped several districts of Uttar Pradesh again on Monday after fresh bomb threats were received via email targeting court premises in 18 districts, including the state capital Lucknow. Following the threats, police and administrative authorities across the state were placed on high alert.
Apart from Lucknow, court complexes in Ayodhya, Varanasi, Azamgarh, Meerut, and Amroha were subjected to intensive search operations. Security agencies conducted thorough inspections of court buildings and surrounding areas to ensure public safety.
In Lucknow, personnel from the Wazirganj police station, along with dog squads and bomb disposal teams, rushed to the district court premises early Monday morning after receiving information about the threat. Comprehensive checks were carried out inside and around the complex. Entry and exit points were closely monitored, visitors were screened, and additional police forces were deployed at all gates.
