Four-year-old survives 50 injuries in stray dog attack; returns home after 11 days of hospitalisation

Ch. Sambhajinagar, March 11 (UNI) A four-year-old girl who was critically injured in a stray dog attack in Ch. Sambhajinagar has recovered after intensive medical treatment, with doctors saying the child survived more than fifty wounds following eleven days of care in hospital. The girl was finally discharged and returned home smiling, bringing relief and joy to her family.
The injured child, Ayesha Syed, aged four, is a resident of the Narigaon area. The incident occurred in the early hours of February 28 when her family had woken up at around three in the morning for the (Saheri) pre-dawn meal during the month of Ramzan. At that time, Ayesha was standing near the door of her house when five to six stray dogs suddenly attacked her.
The dogs bit and clawed the child repeatedly, causing severe injuries across her body. Within moments, she had sustained more than fifty wounds. Her family rushed her immediately to Ghati Hospital, where doctors began emergency treatment in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
