Four-year-old girl dies, 20 injured as under-construction building slab collapses in Firozabad

Firozabad, Feb 13 (UNI) A tragic accident occurred on Friday afternoon in the Thana Uttar area of Firozabad when the roof slab of an under-construction house collapsed, killing a four-year-old girl and injuring around 20 people.
The incident took place behind Amar Deep College on Jalesar Road, where construction work was underway on the second floor of a house owned by Ashok Kumar. According to officials, the concrete slab (lenter) of the second floor suddenly gave way during the laying process, causing chaos at the site. Family members and construction workers present there were trapped under the debris.
Upon receiving information about the accident, senior district officials, including the Senior Superintendent of Police, SP City, City Magistrate, SDM, and local police personnel, rushed to the spot to oversee rescue operations. A team from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) also joined the efforts. Rescue workers used a JCB machine to clear the debris and safely pull out those trapped underneath. The injured were immediately shifted to the district hospital for treatment.
