Nanded, Feb 16 (UNI) Four devotees were killed, and 13 others were injured when their mini bus on way to Ayodhya from Maharashtra collided with a stationary bus on Purvanchal Expressway in Loniktra police station limits of Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh early on Sunday.
A release from the District Disaster Management department stated that the incident occurred early this morning when the mini bus collided with a bus parked on the side of road.
The accident was so severe that four of the devotees were killed on the spot and 13 others were injured.
The deceased have been identified as Sunil Digambar Warpade (50), Anusaya Digambar Varpade (80), Deepak Ganesh Godle Swamy (40, all three from Chhatrapati Chowk in Nanded) and Jayashree Kundalikrao Chavan (50, Adgaon Ranjebua of Hingoli).
All the injured have been admitted to hospital for treatment.
The injured persons are Chaitanya Rahul Swamy (16), Shiv Shakti Ganesh Godle (55), Bhakti Deepak Godle (30), Ranjana Ramesh Mathapati (55), Ganesh Godle (55), Anita Sunil Warpade (40), Veer Sunil Varpade (09), Sunita Madhavrao Kadam (60), Chhaya Shankar Kadam (60), Jyoti Pradeep Gaibdi (50), Arya Deepak Godle (05), Lokesh Godle (35) and Sridevi Bargale (60) (all hailing from Chhatrapati Chowk of Nanded), the release stated.
