Four dead in Meghalaya landslide

Shillong, May 30 (UNI) Four persons, including a minor, died after a massive landslide at Nongpriang village under the Shella Community and Rural Development Block in East Khasi Hills district in Meghalaya in the wee hours of Thursday, an official said.
“While the body of one of the victims identified as Phisar Nongrum (75) was retrieved from the debris, Kynmaw Syngai (70) Benti Riahtam (60) and a minor boy, Lumlang Riahtam (16) were trapped under debris,” Executive Director, State Disaster Management Authority, Matsiewdor War Nongbri said.
Lumlang Riahtam, K. Syngai and Benti Riahtam belonged to the same family
