Fortis Mohali issues medical bulletin on CM Mann’s health

Chandigarh, Feb 17 (UNI) Fortis Hospital Mohali has issued a formal medical update regarding Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, who was admitted to the facility on February 16. According to the medical bulletin, the Chief Minister visited the hospital for a routine medical evaluation, involving a comprehensive clinical assessment and standard diagnostic investigations. The multidisciplinary medical team supervising his care confirmed that all vital parameters are stable and within normal limits. The Chief Minister is currently experiencing exhaustion and has been kept under observation for supportive care. His condition remains stable.
In a separate but related development, a major security alert was triggered on Tuesday morning after a bomb threat was received via email. Superintendent of Police (SP) City Mohali, Dilpreet Singh, confirmed that the threat was received around 8 AM on the official email IDs of a local school, specifically naming Fortis Hospital as a target. In response, anti-sabotage teams from the Police Headquarters and Range Office, along with bomb disposal squads, were immediately dispatched to the hospital premises to conduct a thorough sweep.
As the threat originated through school email channels, authorities also conducted precautionary checks at all schools in the vicinity to ensure the safety of students and staff. Following a rigorous inspection of all locations, SP Dilpreet Singh confirmed that no suspicious objects or substances were found. The threat has been officially declared a hoax, and the situation is reported to be completely under control.
