Jhansi, Sep 12 (UNI) Former union Minister and senior Congress leader Pradeep Jain Aditya, along with 12 other Congress workers, has been sentenced to two years in jail by the MP/MLA court in Jhansi. The verdict was delivered on Friday evening in connection with a 12-year-old case related to a highway blockade during a protest in 2013.

The court, while pronouncing the judgment, also imposed fines on all 13 convicts. The case dates back to June 11, 2013, when Jain and his supporters blocked the Jhansi-Kanpur National Highway for nearly six hours, demanding an end to power cuts in the Bundelkhand region.
