Former Planning Minister of Bangladesh arrested

Dhaka, Sep 20 (UNI) Veteran Awami League leader and former Bangladesh Planning Minister MA Mannan has been arrested, a senior police officer said.
The 78-year-old leader, who served as a minister in the now ousted Sheikh Hasina government from 2014 to 2024, was picked up from his house in Sunamganj district, The Daily star reported.
AFM Anwar Hossain, police superintendent of Sunamganj, stated "He (MA Mannan) is accused in a court case."
