Former Kerala cadre IAS officer Alkesh Sharma made member of PESB

Thiruvananthapuram, Apr 19 (UNI) Former Kerala cadre IAS officer Alkesh Kumar Sharma has been appointed as a member of Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB), in a significant decision to strengthen the strategic oversight of the top managerial appointments in Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs).
Sharma’s selection has been approved by the Appointments Committee of the Union Cabinet. PESB is tasked with advising the government on appointment to senior management positions in CPSEs.
An IAS officer of 1990 batch, Sharma had held top positions both at the Centre and in the state, especially those relating to major infrastructure development.
