Football: London City calling for Japan captain Kumagai

London, Jan 23 (UNI) Japan women's soccer team captain Saki Kumagai has made the latest move of her stellar career, joining London City Lionesses from AS Roma.
The 34-year-old centre-back, who won the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2011 – scoring the winning penalty in the final shootout against USA at the age of 20 – is one of the most successful players of her generation.
Besides that, unforgettable World Cup triumph, she has lifted the UEFA Women’s Champions League trophy on no fewer than five occasions, won top-flight titles in France, Germany and Italy, and earned over 150 caps for her country, according to a FIFA media release.
