Focus on revenue growth, ensure no tolerance for illegal mining in river catchments: Yogi

Lucknow, Dec 11 (UNI) Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the performance of the Geology and Mining Department on Wednesday and issued important directives to the officials.
During the meeting the CM highlighted that revenue collection for the financial year 2024-25 stood at Rs 2,407.20 crore, with potential for further growth.
He directed the departmental and district-level officers to work proactively to improve revenue collection. He directed that accountability for revenue collection should be fixed for District Magistrates and District Mining Officers.
