Flood hit JNIMS to start functioning from Monday

Imphal, June 14 (UNI)- The Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), Imphal, will commence operations from June 16.
Healthcare services at JNIMS Hospital, including emergency operations, will resume following a temporary closure caused by severe flooding that affected the entire campus, said Prof. L. Usharani Devi, Director, J.N. Institute of Medical Sciences.
She said efforts are underway to ensure full restoration of services, and routine surgeries (Routine OT) are expected to resume as soon as possible. Academic activities, including Undergraduate (MBBS and BDS) students and Postgraduate (PG) trainees, will also begin on Monday, she added.

Assam approves implementation of Gaja Mitra scheme to control growing human-elephant conflicts
