Five new police stations approved for Pune: CM Fadnavis

Pune Aug 8 (UNI) Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today announced the approval for five new police stations in Pune at Lohgaon, Laxminagar, Narhe, Manjri, and Yewalewadi.
Additionally, permission will be granted for the recruitment of 1,000 personnel to strengthen law enforcement in the city.
Speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony of several police projects at Shivajinagar Police Headquarters, the Chief Minister stated that a major restructuring of the police force has been undertaken after 60 years. This includes the formation of new units like Narcotics and Forensics. He assured that the state government is committed to modernizing the police department.

Eighth accused held in Goregaon Nesco concert drug case

Mumbai, Apr 18 (UNI) Police on Saturday arrested the eighth accused in the Goregaon Nesco ground music concert drug case, taking the total number of arrests in the investigation to eight, an official said on Saturday. The accused, identified as Ayush Vicky Sahitya (24), was apprehended from Poladpur in Raigad district following a coordinated operation.
