Five member nation of BIMSTEC joins field exercise on Disaster management on flood

Bhubaneswar, Feb 12 (UNI) The Field Training Exercise of second BIMSTEC Disaster Management on flood rescue, the first of its kind in the coastal city of India, was conducted today at the Ramachandi Beach in Puri district.
The delegates & rescue teams of five member nations namely- India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka & Myanmar, of BIMSTEC group participated with great zeal and enthusiasm.
In order to bring in a feel of real disaster scenario, "simulated exercise sites including villages & Heritage Site (Konark Sun Temple)” were set up at Ramachandi Beach in Puri to depict flooded localities and houses due to the flood disaster.
