Five killed, 1 hurt as car collides with bus

Coimbatore, Sep 22(UNI) Five persons, including Thiruchengodu District Producers Co-operative Society President an Vice-President were killed and another seriously injured when a car in which they were travelling collided with a Tamil Nadu State-owned bus at Thekkalur near Avinasi in Tiruppur district, today.
Police sources said the Society Vice-President James Ramu was on his way to the city to catch a flight to Delhi to attend a meeting along with Society president Kandasamy and three others from Nammakkal.
The State Government owned bus was bound to the city from Salem when the accident occurred.
