First phase conducted peacefully: Kerala Election Commissioner

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 9 (UNI) Kerala State Election Commissioner A. Shajahan on Tuesday expressed gratitude to voters, candidates, and political parties for ensuring a peaceful first phase of the local body elections in the State.
He also thanked police personnel and other officials who contributed to the smooth conduct of polling and sought similar cooperation to ensure a peaceful second phase on December 11.
The Commission announced that re-polling will be conducted on December 11 at the first polling booth of the Ambalakadavu ward in Mananchery Grama Panchayat, Alappuzha.
