Chandrapur, Feb 16 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said on Sunday that financial institutions along with direct benefit transfer (DBT) play a significant role in development of the country and the common citizens.
Speaking at a programme organised at Priyadarshan on occasion of the silver jubilee celebrations of Sanmitra Mahila Nagari Sahakari Bank here, he talked about how Prime Minister Narendra Modi has strengthened the Indian economy where economic institutions thrive, and development abounds.
He said that Modi has connected every citizen of India with the banking sector, facilitating every citizen to have a bank account today.
