Farmer gets highest income through horticulture: AP CM

Vijayawada, May 13 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, on Tuesday told the officers to widely encourage horticulture in all parts of the State, except in the Godavari and Krishna delta areas setting a target of earning a minimum Rs 1 lakh per acre per year by farmers.

The Chief Minister who conducted a review at the State Secretariat on horticulture made several suggestions to the officers. Mr Chandrababu directed the officials to set up 24 clusters in the State with 11 major crops like chilli, banana, mango, oil palm, cocoa, dragon fruit, cashew, coffee, coconut, tomato and onion and extend support to farmers.

Andhra CM: Digital health cards will be issued across the state

Vijayawada, Dec 16 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has announced that ‘Digital Health’ records under the Sanjeevani project, which is being implemented in Kuppam of Chittoor district as a pilot initiative now with the cooperation of the Bill Gates foundation, will be extended to the entire state soon.
