Fans criticise livestream of Black Sabbath’s final concert, say it felt ‘cold’

London, July 7 (UNI) With English heavy metal band Black Sabbath officially bidding farewell to their fans around the world and departing the music world, many fans expressed disappointment over the streaming of their ‘Back To The Beginning’ concert in Birmingham, calling it "cold".

The concert, attended by 40,000 people from across the globe in Birmingham and live-streamed to two million people, ended with the metal legends closing the tour with their classic track ‘Paranoid’. Ozzy Osbourne, who announced his retirement after the concert, bade everyone farewell.

The cameras then cut to confetti being fired into the audience and fireworks exploding from the roof of the stadium.

However, some people pointed out that the four original members didn’t take the opportunity to say goodbye together, calling the ending “cold” despite Ozzy’s well-documented health issues preventing him from standing during the show.

The livestream’s focus on Ozzy Osbourne was noted to have sidelined the other members, something which the viewers of the stream did not appreciate and criticised.

Viewers complained they didn’t see the part where both guitarist Tony Iommi and bassist Geezer Butler went over to speak to Ozzy after the final song.

Iommi had walked to Ozzy’s black leather throne to warmly shake hands and exchange words with the singer, while Butler presented Ozzy with a cake bearing an image of the Prince Of Darkness, before allowing him to soak up the adulation from the crowd.

The ‘cold’ feeling of the stream was attributed to bad editing of the livestream, with many fan filmed clips ‘butchering’ the livestream, and ruining the last time Ozzy or Black Sabbath would ever walk the stage, though a better and properly edited version was later posted by the band, showcasing the mega-concert in its entirety.
