False UK citizenship claim against Binoy Viswam’s family: CPI leader approaches Cyber Cell

Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 9 (UNI) CPI Kerala State Secretary Binoy Viswam has lodged a complaint with the Cyber Cell against a false and defamatory Facebook post claiming that his wife and two daughters hold British citizenship.
Terming the allegation as a deliberate attempt at character assassination, Binoy Viswam said the post was aimed at maligning him as a public figure and discrediting his family.
The complaint states that the post, allegedly made by a native of Anchal, falsely claimed that Binoy Viswam’s wife, Shyla C. George, and their two daughters are citizens of the United Kingdom. Denying the claim, Binoy Viswam and his family clarified that all three are Indian passport holders, a fact that is already publicly available.
