Fake ‘CBI officer’ dupes Sitapur sub-inspector of Rs 15 lakh in digital arrest scam

Sitapur, Mar 11 (UNI) A sub-inspector posted at the Police Training College (PTC) in Sitapur was allegedly duped of around Rs15 lakh by cyber fraudsters posing as officials of central investigation agencies who threatened him with a “digital arrest.”
According to police, the victim, Sub-Inspector Narayan Singh, received a phone call around noon on February 20.
The caller claimed to be a senior inspector from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) headquarters in Delhi and alleged that Singh’s Aadhaar and PAN details had been used to open a bank account at ICICI Bank linked to a case registered in Jammu and Kashmir.

Jaipur, Apr 14 (UNI) Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma led Rajasthan in observing the 135th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, announcing the opening of 200 Ambedkar e-Libraries in urban areas and strengthening residential facilities for students of Dalit and weaker strata who were close to the "Baba Sahib's" heart.
Addressing the state-level Ambedkar Jayanti samaroh at the Bhawani Niketan here this afternoon, Sharma inaugurated 10 hostel buildings and also laid the foundation stone for 17 new ones at different places in the state.
