Faizabad Bar Association files undertaking in SC on abstention from work

New Delhi, Sep 18 (UNI) The Faizabad Bar Association, Uttar Pradesh has recently filed an undertaking in the Supreme Court that they will not pass any resolution, or become party to any resolution, for abstention of work.
The Supreme Court had recently taken strong objection to Lawyers abstaining from work and reprimanded the Faizabad Bar Association officials for encouraging lawyers to abstain from work.
A bench comprising Justice Surya Kant and Justice Ujjal Bhuyan asked the office bearers of the Bar Association to submit the data on abstention by advocates from all district Bar Associations across the state (at least for the period 2023-24).
