Fadnavis pays homage to Dr Ambedkar at Chaitya Bhoomi

Mumbai, April 14 (UNI) Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis led the state’s tributes to Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar on his 135th birth anniversary, offering floral homage at Chaitya Bhoomi in Dadar and underlining the enduring relevance of his ideas in contemporary India.
Accompanied by Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Sunetra Ajit Pawar, along with other senior leaders, Fadnavis participated in the Jayanti Mahotsav where he emphasised Ambedkar’s pivotal role in shaping India’s democratic structure. He stated that the Constitution drafted under Ambedkar’s leadership laid a durable foundation for justice, equality and dignity, enabling the country’s progress on principles of inclusivity and unity.
In a detailed message shared on social media, the Chief Minister observed that India’s strength continues to draw from this constitutional framework, widely regarded among the finest in the world. He noted that Ambedkar’s vision of a discrimination-free society remains central to nation-building efforts even today.
