Execution of Keralite in Yemen: CM seeks PM's intervention

Thiruvananthapurm, July 14 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has sought Prime Minister Narendra Modi's intervention for the rescue of Indian national Nimisha Priya Tomy Thomas, who has been sentenced to death by a specialized court at Sana'a in Yemen.
In a letter to the Prime Minister, the Kerala Chief Minister urged him to direct the Indian Embassy to intervene in every possible manner to save the life of the Kerala citizen. Nimisha's execution is scheduled for July 16, 2025.
According to Yemeni court documents, Nimisha Priya was accused of being involved in the murder of her local business partner, Talal Abdo Mehdi, in 2017.
