Excise team seizes 2,805 litres of illegal liquor in Thane village

Thane, Dec 6 (UNI) The State Excise Department seized 2,805 litres of illegal country liquor during a major raid conducted on Saturday in Bhodi Desai village of Thane district.
Officials stated that the total value of the confiscated liquor and associated materials is estimated at around three lakh rupees. Two individuals were taken into custody following the operation, which was prompted by intelligence inputs about rising illicit liquor activity in the area.
Acting on confidential information regarding increased production of hand-made country liquor, a joint excise team launched coordinated raids in the D-5 and D-5 village areas. The team included personnel from Flying Squad No. 2 Thane, Sub-Inspectors from A Division and C Division, Inspectors from Dombivali and Badlapur divisions, and a Jawan Class 2.
