Ex-Karnataka DGP murder case given to CCB

Bengaluru, Apr 21 (UNI) The murder case of former Karnataka Director General of Police (DGP) Om Prakash, registered Sunday (yesterday) under FIR at HSR Layout Police Station, has been officially transferred to the Crime Branch-Criminal Investigation Department (CCB) for further investigation.
This was confirmed by Bengaluru police in a textual message sent to media persons.
The transfer aims to ensure a thorough and specialised probe into the high-profile case, which has shocked the police establishment and the public alike. The homicide occurred at the former DGP’s residence in the HSR Layout area.
