Ex-CM Jagan Reddy voices opposition to medical college privatization

Vijayawada, Sep 10 (UNI) YSR Congress party president and former Chief Minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has vehemently opposed privatization of medical Colleges by the Naidu government and alleged a Rs 250 crore corruption in distribution of urea fertilizer to the farmers.
Addressing a press conference in the State office at Tadepalli today, Jagan Mohan Reddy stated the Naidu-headed government was privatizing the medical Colleges, depriving medical education to the poor. The Naidu-led government has also diluted the Arogyasri health scheme, meant to provide medical treatment to the poor at free of cost, he said.
The Ex-Chief Minister vowed to oppose the privatization of medical Colleges by launching agitations and announced that he would personally participate in the agitations. He called upon people who wish for the progress of the State should take part in the agitation. “We will cancel the tenders, regarding privatizing medical Colleges, as soon as we come to power,” Jagan Reddy announced.
