Ever Carradine to front 'Bosch' spinoff 'Ballard'

Los Angeles, March 11 (UNI) American actress Ever Carradine has joined the cast of the second season of crime drama 'Ballard', taking on a significant recurring role in the upcoming installment.
Inspired by the work of bestselling author Michael Connelly, the Bosch spinoff follows Detective Renée Ballard (Q) as she leads the LAPD’s new and underfunded cold case division, tackling the city’s most challenging long-forgotten crimes, reports DEADLINE.
As she peels back layers of crimes spanning decades, including a serial killer’s string of murders and a murdered John Doe, she soon uncovers a dangerous conspiracy within the LAPD. With the help of her volunteer team and retired detective Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver), Detective Ballard navigates personal trauma, professional challenges and life-threatening dangers to expose the truth.
Carradine will portray Lauren Sousa, a devoted mother whose earlier association with a powerful spiritual movement continues to cast a shadow over her present life. The character is described as resilient and fiercely protective, motivated by her determination to safeguard her daughter.
The series also features Courtney Taylor, Michael Mosley, Rebecca Field, Victoria Moroles, Amy Hill and John Carroll Lynch. Earlier, it was reported that Benjamin Bratt will also recur in Season 2.
Ballard is executive produced by Michael Connelly, Henrik Bastin, Michael Alaimo, Kendall Sherwood, Trish Hofmann, Jet Wilkinson, and Melissa Aouate. Jasmine Russ serves as co-executive producer under Fabel Entertainment. Jamie Boscardin Martin and Trey Batchelor also serve as co-executive producers. Theresa Snider serves as co-executive producer for Hieronymus Pictures.
Ever is best known for her performance in 'The Handmaid's Tale' as Naomi Putnam, recurring in all five seasons. Her other works include 'Goliath', 'Major Crimes' and 'Will & Grace'.
