Evaluation of UP Board exams answer sheets begins

Prayagraj, Mar 19 (UNI) The evaluation of answer sheets of Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (UP Board) high school and intermediate examination started on Wednesday amid tight security arrangements, official sources said here.
Sources said that about 1.5 lakh examiners are checking about three crore answer sheets in 261 centres. "The target has been set to complete the evaluation work in the next 15 days. The evaluation work is being done under the surveillance of CCTV cameras with voice recorders and entry of outsiders is prohibited at the evaluation centres. Examiners cannot even carry mobile phones to the centre," they said.
Secretary of the UP Board Bhagwati Singh said that the evaluation which started from Wednesday at 261 centres in the state will continue till April 2. "In high school, 84,122 examiners and 8,473 deputy chief examiners have been appointed for 1,63,22,248 written answer sheets," he said.
