Essilor unveils new campaign with Virat Kohli

New Delhi, Aug 5 (UNI) Essilor, the global leader in prescription lenses for spectacles, has launched a new campaign featuring Indian cricket star Virat Kohli.
The campaign aims to highlight the unique benefits of Essilor’s Eyezen and Varilux lenses.
The first phase of the campaign focuses on Eyezen lenses, designed for single vision consumers who spend extended hours on digital devices.
The campaign film shows various scenarios of individuals experiencing eye strain from prolonged screen use. Kohli, an Eyezen user himself, discusses how the lenses reduce visual fatigue and filter blue-violet light, providing both relaxation and protection for the eyes.
The second phase highlights Varilux progressive lenses, tailored for those with presbyopia. The film features Kohli advising his former coach on the advantages of Varilux lenses, demonstrating their ability to correct vision issues associated with ageing. The campaign underscores the advanced AI technology used in Varilux lenses to address presbyopia.
Narasimhan Narayanan, President of EssilorLuxottica, South Asia, said, “At Essilor, we are thrilled to continue our partnership with global sports icon Virat Kohli and unveil a new and exciting chapter for our consumers. Kohli’s phenomenal appeal and pursuit of excellence align with our mission to raise awareness about clear and healthy vision at all ages while showcasing our advanced technologies and superior products such as Eyezen and Varilux.”
Kohli commented, “I’m an Eyezen wearer myself and loving the immense relaxation and protection that these lenses provide. Essilor is a leader in revolutionising vision care globally and I’m excited to share about their innovative products and how each lens is tailor-made to address individual vision care needs.”
The campaign, created by Network India Pvt Ltd, will be promoted across TV, social, and digital channels nationwide. Shayondeep Pal, Chief Creative Officer at Network, noted, “It was an absolute pleasure to work with a legend like Virat. Writing a script that felt 100% genuine with a celebrity who uses the brand he endorses made the task challenging yet rewarding.”
Eyezen lenses are designed to alleviate eye strain for those constantly connected, while Varilux progressive lenses offer sharp vision at all distances with seamless transitions from near to far.
