Shefali Shah and Fardeen Khan join hands for 'Koke'

Mumbai, June 3 (UNI) After the resounding success of the Emmy Award-winning police procedural "Delhi Crime," Shefali Shah is set to team up with Fardeen Khan for the first time in the upcoming period drama series "Koke".
This marks Khan's second attempt at a period piece and Netflix after Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Heeramandi", according to Variety India.
While details about the storyline and characters remain closely guarded, sources indicate that Koke is being developed as a large-scale ensemble drama featuring a mix of film and television actors.
The project is currently being shot and is slated for release on the streaming platform in early 2027.
“Koke” is being directed by Nupur Asthana, best known for helming Prime Video's popular comedy drama series, “Four More Shots Please!”. Asthana has apparently exited the second season of “The Royals,” the Ishaan Khatter-led romantic comedy series, to take charge of this show.
Speaking of Shefali Shah, she was last seen in the third season of “Delhi Crime." She will next feature in husband Vipul Amrutlal Shah's heist thriller “Hisaab,” which also stars Jaideep Ahlawat and Abhishek Banerjee. She will also be seen in Rishab Shetty's historical epic, “The Pride of Bharat - Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj,” which is scheduled to go on floors in the second half of this year. UNI NST CDS
