'Lagaan' completes 25 years with the Lagaan Poster Challenge for fans

Mumbai, June 2 (UNI) Marking 25 years since the release of the landmark film "Lagaan", the makers have unveiled a special poster-design competition that invites fans to pay tribute to the beloved classic through their own creative vision.
To mark its silver jubilee, Aamir Khan Productions has announced a special Lagaan Poster Challenge for audiences, giving fans the opportunity to design a new poster for the film. Selected participants will have the opportunity to join the cast and production team at a special screening of the film.
The Lagaan Poster Challenge, launched on social media, requires participants to create their own unique take on the film's iconic poster. Winners will be selected and will have the opportunity to join the cast and crew at a special screening of the film.
The film's producers stated that this initiative aims to connect audiences with the legacy of "Lagaan" and provide a platform for their creativity. Participants can submit their entries via email to or share them on social media platforms and tag them.
Released in 2001, this film brought international recognition to Indian cinema. Set in British India, the story tells the story of a village playing a cricket match to escape heavy taxes, creating an inspiring saga of struggle.
A. R. Rahman's music for the film remains immensely popular with audiences, including songs like "Mitwa," "Ghanan Ghanan," and "Radha Kaise Na Jale."
