High-stakes legal drama 'System' starring Sonakshi Sinha to release May 22

Mumbai, May 6 (UNI) Intense courtroom drama "System" headlined by Sonakshi Sinha, Jyotika and Ashutosh Gowarikar, is set to unleash on May 22.
Helmed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, it is presented by Baweja Studios, mounted by Pammi Baweja, Harman Baweja and Smitha Baliga, and scriped by Baweja, Arun Sukumar, director Tiwari, Tasneem Lokhandwala, and Akshat Ghildial.
Prime Video’s upcoming legal drama is set for a global premiere across 240 territories, marking one of the streamer’s major Indian original releases this year, reports DEADLINE.
The film was announced earlier this year during the Prime Video Presents India showcase in March, where the streamer unveiled a broad slate of 69 upcoming films and series.
The film follows the unlikely connection between Neha Rajvansh (Sinha), a public prosecutor, and Sarika Rawat (Jyotika), a courtroom stenographer who comes from a humble background. Per the synopsis, “Despite their distinctly different social standings, the team unites to fight for justice and truth, even if it means going up against the most powerful.”
For Prime Video India, the picture is the latest in a long line of movie originals, including "The Mehta Boys", "Maja Ma" and "Ammu". No theatrical launch for this one.
“System is a gripping legal drama that brings together two headstrong women from contrasting worlds, bound by their own ideas of justice,” said Harman Baweja. “Brought to life through powerful performances by Sonakshi Sinha, Jyotika, and Ashutosh Gowariker, the movie reflects our shared vision of telling meaningful, cinematic stories.”
