Kartik Aaryan announces re-release of hit comedy ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ on big screens

New Delhi, March 3 (UNI) Bollywood star Kartik Aaryan has announced that the 2018 blockbuster ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ is returning to theatres nationwide this week, giving fans a chance to relive the laughter, drama, and music that made the film a hit.

The re-release, timed shortly after the Holi festival, is scheduled for March 6, marking the film’s eighth anniversary.

Sharing the news on Instagram, Kartik posted a video montage from the film along with a fresh poster. He wrote, "This Friday... Relive the laughter and emotions once again on the big screen! SonuKeTituKiSweety re-releases in theatres on 6th March!."

Directed by Luv Ranjan and produced by Luv Films and T-Series Films, the movie also starred Nushrratt Bharuccha and Sunny Singh. The story revolves around the deep friendship between Kartik and Sunny’s characters, tested by love, blending comedy, drama, and catchy songs that resonated with audiences.

Upon its original release, ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ became a surprise box office hit, grossing a worldwide net total of Rs 156 crore, including Rs 108 crore in India, cementing Kartik Aaryan’s rise in Bollywood.

Kartik’s recent project ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’ received a lukewarm response, earning Rs 32.95 crore net in India and Rs 49.5 crore gross worldwide.

Looking ahead, he is working on two new films for 2026: the horror-comedy Naagzilla, produced by Dharma Productions, and an untitled film with Sreeleela, directed by Anurag Basu, with release dates yet to be announced.

The re-release of ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ offers both longtime fans and new audiences the chance to revisit the film that launched Kartik’s successful trajectory in Bollywood.
