Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh to premiere on April 18

Mumbai, Feb 16 (UNI) Bollywood megastar Akshay Kumar is set to captivate audiences once again with "Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh", which is scheduled for a grand theatrical release on April 18, 2025.
The film delves into the tragic Jallianwala Bagh massacre, a defying moment in India's fight for independence.
Akshay Kumar will portray the legendary barrister C Sankaran Nair, who fearlessly took on the British Raj through a historic legal battle. Joining him in pivotal roles are R Madhavan and Ananya Panday.
Originally earmarked for a March 14 release, the film's debut has been postponed to April 18.
Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi and produced under the banners of Dharma Productions, Leo Collective and Cape of Good Films, "Kesari Chapter 2" aspires to render a nuanced and thought-provoking depiction of a seminal moment in India's past.
Esteemed trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his social media handle to confirm the updated release date via X (formerly Twitter), "AKSHAY KUMAR - R MADHAVAN - ANANYA PANDAY: 'KESARI CHAPTER 2' IS THE TITLE... NEW RELEASE DATE LOCKED... #KesariChapter2: The Untold Story Of Jallianwala Bagh is the title of #AkshayKumar, #RMadhavan and #AnanyaPanday starrer. Directed by #KaranSinghTyagi, the film will arrive in theatres on 18 April 2025 [#GoodFriday] (sic)."
Dharma Productions took to its official Instagram handle to announce the release date of the untitled project. The caption along with the announcement reads, “Ek ankahi kahani, ek ansuna sach (An untold story, an unheard truth) ...Starring Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan & Ananya Panday - this untitled film is releasing in cinemas on March14, 2025. Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi.”
