Kartik Aaryan's 'Aashiqui 3' teaser drops

Mumbai, Feb 16 (UNI) The teaser of "Aashiqui 3", featuring Kartik Aaryan in a never-before-seen avatar, has finally been released, sending fans into a state of exhilaration.
The "Aashiqui" franchise, revered for its timeless music and deeply emotional narratives, first graced the silver screen in 1990 with Mahesh Bhatt's directorial masterpiece starring Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal, followed by "Aashiqui 2" in 2012, featuring Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor, which enticed audiences with its haunting romance. Now, acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Basu is set to reimagine this beloved saga with "Aashiqui 3".
Initially, rumours suggested that Tripti Dimri would be cast as the female lead, but the teaser confirms the presence of South Indian starlet Sreeleela alongside Kartik Aaryan. The teaser showcases Kartik in a striking new avatar, sporting long tousled hair and a thick beard, exuding the aura of a tormented rockstar.
In a visually compelling sequence, he takes the stage as a rockstar, cigarette in hand and a guitar slung over his shoulder, as he soulfully renders 'Tu Meri Zindagi Hai', his eyes reflecting deep pain and longing. The visuals intercut between his passionate stage performance and intimate, romantic flashbacks of tender moments with Sreeleela, the teaser encapsulates the film's emotionally charged essence.
Kartik took to social media to share the teaser, captioning it: "This Diwali".
The film is slated to be released during the festive season.
