England reveal playing XI for first Test against India

London, June 18 (UNI) The Ben Stokes-led England confirmed their lineup for the first of five Tests against India at Headingley starting on June 20.
The two changes in the lineup that featured in the one-off Test against England is the inclusion seasoned all-rounder Chris Woakes and right-arm quick Brydon Carse.
Woakes, who is coming on the back of recovering from an ankle injury, last featured during England's tour of New Zealand in December 2024.

Tour de France: Tadej Pogacar wins Stage 7

Paris, July 12 (UNI) Tadej Pogacar (UAE Emirates-XRG) swooped back into the yellow jersey with a second stage win in this year’s Tour de France after beating arch-rival Jonas Vingegaard (Visma-Lease a Bike) on the iconic finish climb at Mur-de-Bretagne in Stage 7
Pogacar had more punch than any of his opponents in a tense seven-up sprint as Britain’s Oscar Onley (Picnic PostNL) impressed with a solid third place ahead of Austria’s Felix Gall (Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale) and American Matteo Jorgenson (Visma).

Neeru makes first world cup final, finishes fourth in women’s trap

New Delhi, Jul 12 (UNI) National Games champion Neeru Dhanda, reached a first ever world cup final to finish a creditable fourth in women’s trap, on the penultimate day of the fourth and final International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup Shotgun stage, currently underway in Lonato, Italy. She shot 30 out of her first 35 targets in the 50-shots final.
