Emphasis on expanding awareness, having more camps for TB, AIDS prevention

Kollam, Jun 22 (UNI) The TB Elimination and AIDS Prevention Control Committee has emphasised on the need to expand awareness initiatives and conduct more camps for eliminating these two serious illnesses.
The decision regarding this was taken by the Committee under the chairmanship of District Collector N. Devadas.
Steps have been taken to intensify tuberculosis and AIDS eradication efforts in this district of Kerala.

Chennai, July 11 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to undertake a two-day visit to Tamil Nadu from July 27 to 28, during which he is expected to participate in the ‘Aadi Thiruvaathirai’ festival, commemorating the birth anniversary of emperor Rajendra Chola at Gangaikonda Cholapuram in Ariyalur district, according to sources.

Bengaluru, July 11 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah today said that the one-man commission headed by retired High Court judge Justice Michael D'Cunha has submitted its detailed report on last month's tragic stampede incident during the Royal Challengers Bengaluru's IPL victory celebration outside the Chinnaswamy stadium, in which 11 people were killed.
