Elaborate arrangements in place for record rabi paddy procurement: Uttam Kumar Reddy

Nizamabad (Telangana), Apr 21 (UNI) Telangana Civil Supplies and Irrigation Minister Capt N Uttam Kumar Reddy announced that the Telangana government is fully prepared for a record-breaking Rabi 2024–25 paddy procurement.
Addressing the Telangana Rythu Mahotsavam in Nizamabad, he said all infrastructure — including 8,329 procurement centres, gunny bags, tarpaulins, dryers, weighing machines, and trained staff — is in place.
He stated Telangana aims to procure 70.13 lakh metric tonnes (LMT) this Rabi, taking the state’s total annual paddy production to 281 LMT — the highest in the country. Transparent procedures, quality checks, mobile dryers, and a three-tier grievance redressal system have been implemented to ensure farmer convenience.
