Ektaa Kapoor mounting two web series, Shefali Shah to frontline one

Mumbai, Apr 10 (UNI) The Czarina of Indian Television, Ektaa Kapoor, is strengthening her forte by producing two web series and Shefali Shah is set to collaborate in one of them.
Nearly ten months after announcing a long-term creative alliance, Kapoor's banner, Balaji Telefilms and Netflix are moving ahead with two new web series. The new projects will mark another partnership following their earlier successes with titles such as "Kathal", "Pagglait", "Jaane Jaan" and "Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare".
The first series is believed to be an ensemble-cast, large-scale period drama starring Shefali Shah in one of the leads. The show is titled "Koke" and will be directed by Nupur Asthana, best known for helming Prime Video India's "Four More Shots Please!" and Netflix India's Ishaan Khatter and Bhumi Pednekkar-starrer "The Royals". Shooting begins on April 20 in Mumbai, reports Variety India.
Details regarding the second series remain closely guarded, though it will be directed by Sahir Raza, whose previous credits include "The Married Woman", "Bade Acche Lagte Hain 2", "Illegal - Justice", "Out of Order" and "Doctors".
Sahir was initially supposed to direct "Ragini 3" for Ektaa's banner, but exited the project following production delays, opting to prioritise this new venture instead. Casting is underway for this yet-untitled project, with production expected to commence in the coming few months.
These shows add to Netflix's already robust upcoming slate. Balaji Motion Pictures' next release is Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan's horror-comedy, "Bhooth Bangla," scheduled to hit cinemas on April 17.
This will be followed by Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia's "Vvan- Force of the Forrest" on August 28. The upcoming lineup also includes Sajid Ali's "Heer Ranjha," Vishnuvardhan's "The Terror Report" and "Ragini 3". UNI NST CDS
