Srinagar, Mar 13 (UNI) Employee Joint Action Committee (EJAC) on Wednesday welcomed Jammu and Kashmir Government’s decision for forming a five member committee and hoped that it will pave the way for the regularisation of daily wagers and casual labourers in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing media persons EJAC President Wajahat Hussain said “We welcome the decision of Omar Abdullah government to form a five member committee".
The daily wagers and casual labourers held protest demonstrations across Jammu and Kashmir recently that prompted Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to announce the formation of a five-member committee. The committee will prepare a road map for the regularisation of casual and daily wagers and submit their report within six months to the government.
