Eight year deadlock ends, Uttarakhand’s Kishau Dam project to resume, Yamuna may see rejuvenation

Dehradun, Jun 17 (UNI) Work on the much-awaited nearly 422 MW Kishau Hydropower project is set to resume as the eight years-long deadlock was broken between the six stakeholding states that have agreed to sign an MoU to restart the Dam construction work.
Interestingly Himachal Pradesh has agreed to give its share of dam water to Delhi and Rajasthan in return for sharing its cost of power component by the two states.
