Educational institutions reopen in J&K's Udhampur, parts of Kathua

Jammu, May 14 (UNI) As life limps back to normalcy, all educational institutions reopened on Wednesday in non-border areas, including Udhampur and parts of Kathua district in Jammu and Kashmir.
Officials here said that schools and colleges reopened nearly one week after they were closed in view of the tension between India and Pakistan along the Line of Control and the International Border.
“As the situation is normal, the schools and colleges in the non-border areas have reopened this morning,” said an official. Educational institutions have reopened in the entire Udhampur district but in parts of Kathua district that do not share borders.

BHU researchers identify 47 rare genetic disorders in children

Varanasi, Jun 16 (UNI) A team at the Center for Genetic Disorders at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has successfully enrolled over 300 patients with rare genetic disorders from Varanasi and surrounding districts under the "Mission Program on Pediatric Rare Disorders."
The study, led by Professor Parimal Das, conducted under this research, has identified 47 rare disorders. Most of the identified rare diseases are neurological disorders, with neuromuscular, ophthalmic, skeletal, and cardiac disorders also included.

Lucknow, Jun 16(UNI) The Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Tuesday expressed serious concern over allegations of irregularities and misappropriation in the donations received by the Ayodhya Ram Temple Trust.
The party has demanded a fair and transparent investigation into the entire matter and called for the immediate registration of an FIR on the basis of prima facie evidence of corruption and financial irregularities that have come to light.
