Chennai, Nov 14 (UNI) Officials of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday cinducted
raids at the residential and business premises of ‘Lottery King’ in connection with the PMLA
case.
The raid were held in nearly five locations in Chennai and Coimbatore.
Apart from his residence at his son's house near Triplicane, the searches were also
held at his VCK Deputy General Secretary and son-in-law Aadhav Arjuna's residence in
at Poes Garden in the city.
The fresh are being conducted after the Madras High Court had set aside a JM court
order closing an FIR against Martin on the basis of a report filed by the Chennai City
Central Crime Branch Police.
The FIR, pertaining to the seizure of Rs 7.2 crore unaccounted money from his premises,
was also closed against his wife Leema Rose and three others.
However, on an appeal by the ED, the High Court had permitted the agency to proceed
with its investigation into the money laundering case.
