ED files chargesheet in DJB STP scam case, BJP hopes accused will now be punished

New Delhi, Dec 8 (UNI) Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva on Monday welcomed the filing of a chargesheet by the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) against the then water minister and AAP leader Satyendar Jain and then Delhi Jal Board CEO Udit Prakash.
Sachdeva said the charges relate to an alleged scam of over Rs 17.70 crore committed in the name of modernizing 10 Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) of the DJB, during the tenure of the Arvind Kejriwal government in the national Capital.
The BJP leader has said that with the filing of this chargesheet against Jain and others in the STP scam, there is a renewed hope that the accused involved in major irregularities under the Kejriwal government will soon be punished.
