ECI bench to visit Assam for two-day poll preparedness review

Guwahati, Feb 13 (UNI) A full bench of the Election Commission of India (ECI), including the Chief Election Commissioner Gynesh Kumar, will embark on a three-day visit to Assam on February 16.
Sources in the Chief Election Office in Assam said on Friday that the CEC will be accompanied by Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi. The Election Commission is going to review the poll preparedness of the state where assembly elections are due in April-May this year.
Officials said the ECI bench will meet the members of various political parties, election officials and top civil and police officials to review the situation. The bench will meet the top district administration and police officials on February 17 while the ECI is also scheduled to meet the media persons in Guwahati before returning to Delhi on February 18.

Tripura allocated Rs 6 23 Cr for digital learning of students
