Bhubaneswar, June 9 (UNI) The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Odisha, today appealed to the public not to be influenced by rumours, misinformation or misleading campaigns surrounding the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Reiterating that the exercise is being conducted in a transparent and impartial manner, the CEO's office advised citizens to rely only on official information.
The appeal comes as the revision drive has achieved substantial progress, with 87.66 per cent of voter verification forms distributed across the state by the 11th day of the exercise.
To ensure that no eligible voter is left out of the electoral rolls, Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have been directed to provide maximum coverage during the campaign.
