Ropeway opposition blocking livelihood opportunities: Meghalaya CM

Shillong, Nov 3 (UNI) Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has criticised groups opposing the Shillong ropeway project, stating they are blocking livelihood opportunities for the youth of the state. Several groups, led by the Joint Action Committee (JAC) Against the Shillong Ropeway Project, have demanded an immediate halt to the Rs 151-crore initiative over environmental and community concerns. However, the Chief Minister maintained that all environmental and technical concerns have been fully addressed.
