Jharkhand: IIT-ISM chip honoured at SEMICON India 2026

Dhanbad, Sep 17 (UNI) A semiconductor chip developed by a team from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad was honoured at SEMICON India 2026 during a chip handover ceremony in New Delhi today. Research scholar Rahul Ranjan received the chip and memento from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with students representing 20 institutions across the country. The chip was developed under a Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY)-funded project titled "Ultra-Low Power Assistive Smart Glass" and fabricated at the Semiconductor Laboratory (SCL), Mohali.
