Abhishek Banerjee seeks 48 hours' notice for police questioning

Kolkata, Oct 12 (UNI) A defiant Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee did not appear at the Shakespeare Sarani Police Station here on Monday in response to summons served on him at his Kalighat residence by officers on Sunday. According to sources, he informed the police via email that he required at least 48 hours' notice prior to the interrogation. The incident stemmed from a scuffle between the MP's supporters and officials from the police and the Kolkata Municipal Corporation in August regarding the removal of a billboard at Banerjee's Camac Street office.
